![]() This will signal the driver to pull over. In order to do this, drive behind the offenders vehicle, and press shift. To combat this, you can pull the vehicle over and perform a traffic stop. Whilst policing Los Santos, you may come across a driver doing something out of line. Once you've done found your dream police vehicle, select "Select & Continue" and you're ready to become a police officer! I ended up going for the standard Police Interceptor from the Los Santos Police Department, as I figured that I was going to be policing downtown Los Santos. Go ahead and select "Select & Continue" and move on to the vehicle selection! You can choose A LOT of different police vehicles from every different branch! Even including a HYDRA for the "Ultimate Highway Patrol!" Just a warning, I have not been able to be on duty successfully with any department other than the LSPD, so if I were you, I would stick with that and just head to the part of the map that you would like to police. Now it is time for the character creation! There are a lot of options, so play around with them until you find an officer that you would like to play as. You should see a cutscene and end up with a screen like this: Once there, head to the front door and press E when you get the prompt. Now, once you're in the game, open the map, and look for a police station icon like the one provided in the screenshot. If not, head to the troubleshooting section down below! If it is, you can continue on to the game. If it does, check the console to say that LSPD First Response is running. To test if your LSPDFR works, start spamming F4 (I say spam, because it doesn't initialize right away) until a console pops up. See Apartment for more info.Finally! You've gone through and installed all the required things for LSPDFR! Time to play! Owned Apartment changes which apartment LSPDFR will consider your character to own. Police Station will put you at a police station, apartment will put you in your apartment, random will randomly pick between those and a few different scenarios. Spawn Location changes where you spawn when loading the mod on startup. ![]() Spawn Character changes which character LSPDFR will start with. The settings sub menu lets you change some of LSPDFR's settings. Place Evidence Marker will drop an evidence marker at your current location. Remove Ballistic Shield will put your shield back away. The inventory sub menu lets you equip a ballistic shield or drop evidence markers.Įquip Ballistic Shield will give your character a shield to carry, for those high risk operations. ![]() Radio lets you change the radio station (yes - the radio works in police cars now!) Police Car Radio enables or disables the ambient police radio in police vehicles. Lights lets you turn your lights on or off.Įmergency signals lets you toggle between lights, lights and sirens, or off. It can even be used remotely!Įngine lets you turn your engine on or off, or leave it always running. The Vehicle sub menu gives you access to some of the functions of your current vehicle. The Illuminated Clothing option allows you to control the style of any illuminated (emissive) clothing on your character's outfit. Walk style changes the animation your character uses for walking. Settings is yet another sub menu with some options for LSPDFR. ![]() Inventory brings you to another sub menu with some options relating to your character's inventory. Vehicle brings you to a sub menu that gives you access to some of your vehicle's functions. See Police Computer & Radio for more info. Police Radio is only available while on duty and brings you to the Police Radio sub menu. Quick GPS lets you quickly set a GPS waypoint to the nearest police station, jail drop-off, fire station, medical center, or your apartment. By default, press M or hold back on controller to access the menu. LSPDFR replaces the default game interaction menu with its own.
